Back in February I wrote an article detailing how to set up Contact and Calendar synchronisation with your Google account using the built-in Microsoft Server ActiveSync client featured in Windows Mobile devices (http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/setting-google-sync-windows-mobile).
Google has now added email support to the Google Sync service, meaning that you can now have your Google mail pushed to your device too still using the Windows Mobile native Server ActiveSync client.
This feature is still in Beta, but you can find out ore on the Google web site: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138636&topic=1...
Support is also available for the iPhone, and theoretically-speaking, as the service uses the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, then any device that can use this protocol can access the service, including the Nokia Mail for Exchange client application, although Google are only listing Windows Mobile and the iPhone as being supported.
Setting up a Pocket PC device
Tap on Start and open the Programs Folder. Tap on the icon for ActiveSync.
Select the option to Set up your device to sync with an Exchange Server.
On the next screen, untick the option to ‘determine settings automatically’ if the option is available, the following screen will be displayed:

In the Server address field type in ‘m.google.com’ as shown above. Ensure that the option ‘This server requires an encrypted connection’ is ticked.
Tap Next, the following screen will be displayed:

Enter your username and password information.
Your username will be your full Google email address, normally in the form ‘xxxx@googlemail.com’.
Your password will be the password you specified when you created your GoogleMail account.
Leave the domain field empty. If your device requires a domain to be entered, use ‘google’.
Tap Next, the following screen will be displayed:

Select the folders you wish to synchronise. Whereas before you could only select the Contacts and Calendar folders now you can select the option to synchronise Email too.
Tap Finish. Your device is now configured for Google Sync.
Google Apps
If you use the Premium Google Apps service and want to enable Server ActiveSync functionality for your users, this is done within the Dashboard:
