The Samsung Galaxy Ace embraces a minimalists design while packing in loads of powerful features. It is simply stunning to look at and will feel quit special when you operate the large 3.5” HVGA touch screen. Access to the Android Market is certain to provide endless amounts of fun, especially considering 100000 plus apps are currently available. The Galaxy Ace also provides a powerful 800MHz processor, which helps to run the fully integrated Social Hub. This ingeniously collates all of your social networking, mail and instant messaging onto one screen. So, why not experience a new way of life with the Galaxy Ace, which is everything you want in modern communication.
Full technical specifications are available on the Samsung web site - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/android/GT...

The applications that come preinstalled on the Galaxy Ace are as follows:

The Galaxy Ace features 3 homescreens, accessed by swiping the left and right, each screen capable of hosting a number of application shortcuts, bookmarks, contacts, Internet-enabled widgets, social feeds, music, weather and more. Widgets can be added and rearranged quickly and easily, allowing you to customise your device to how you want.

Hardware controls can be accessed quickly and easily simply by accessing the notification area at the top of the screen

The Galaxy Ace supports Exchange ActiveSync out of the box, allowing you to synchronise email, contacts and calendar with your Microsoft Exchange server, or hosted Exchange service.

Setting up an account is simply a matter of entering in your email address and password, should your Exchange server be set up to support autodiscovery, the remaining settings will be configured automatically. If not, you will need to supply your username, mail server address and domain, all of which can be obtained from your IT department.
As a rule of thumb your username and password and domain will be the same as that used to access your PC if you have one, and the server address is usually the same address as that used to access webmail via your Internet browser, in the form "mail.company.com"

Should your Exchange server has specific device usage policies applied, such as requiring the use of a lock password on devices, you will be prompted to accept these settings:

You can select which mailbox information you wish to sync (mail, contacts and calendar), can specify how often you want the device to synchronise, or whether you want updates pushed to you as they arrive, and how much information you want to synchronise:

You can optionally set up peak and off-peak synchronisation schedules, so your device can push updates to you during the working day, but only synchronise on a schedule, or manually, during the evening and weekends:

Multiple email accounts can be configured, and optionally displayed in a single, unified Inbox.
All mailbox folders can be accessed by swiping across the top of the screen:

Contacts can be searched for in the Exchange global address list when you compose a new email message:

Out of office settings and messages can also be set from the device:

The Galaxy Ace can be used as a portable wireless 3G hotspot, allowing you to connect your wifi-enabled device and share the Ace's high-speed connection to the Internet

Tethering is also possible via USB on Windows. You will need to download and install the Kies software from the www.samsungapps.com web site to obtain the necessary device drivers but once installed, connecting the Galaxy Ace and enabling tethering will install a new network adapter on your Windows PC automatically. Once the new hardware is installed your PC will automatically share the Ace's Internet link:

DLNA is also available, allowing you to stream music, photos and videos to and from other DLNA-certified equipment such as PCs and televisions

The Galaxy Ace comes with the ThinkOffice software installed, which provides read, edit and create ability for Microsoft Office-compatible documents, spreadsheets and presentations:

Documents can be stored on the SD card, or can optionally be stored online if you sign up for an account with ThinkFree

The My Files application allows you to view and manage the contents of your device and microSD storage

The Samsung Apps feature provides an alternative to the Android Market, with special offers on apps and more

The Storage Manager allows you to keep control of your device's resources, by monitoring memory usage, available storage and running applications
